For nearly 50 years, the name Zerbe has been synonymous with quality legal representation in Southeast Indiana. Harry Zerbe (1923 - 1999) started his practice of law in Lawrenceburg, Indiana as a sole practitioner in 1956. Mr. Zerbe was twice elected prosecutor of Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. In 1965, his successful argument of the state's anti-hate laws kept the Ku Klux Klan from being permitted to stage a rally in Dearborn County. The House of Representatives' Committee on Un-American Activities, which was investigating the KKK, called on Mr. Zerbe to testify as a result of his successful prosecution. Mr. Zerbe was a member of a commission that authorized the revised Indiana criminal code, and he served several years on the board of directors for the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. Over time, Harry Zerbe was joined by his son, David who, with Douglas Garner, eventually took over the practice. The Harry Leland Zerbe Law Building, which is pictured on our home page was dedicated in 1992 in Harry's honor. With attorneys licensed in both Ohio and Indiana, Zerbe Garner Miller & Blondell LLP carries on the proud legal traditions of integrity, experience and results which were set in motion by Harry L.
